Together with Polyglot translation agency (now Enlaso) of California, Agence de traduction Passeport have worked on a translation project from English to French on a risk rating software for commercial loans.

The implication of our Company consisted mainly to: subcontract several free-lance translators specialised in finance, edit all texts, and proof-read the final versions.

This project, totalling 400 000 words which lasted over six months, shows without any doubts the capability of Agence de traduction Passeport to manage large scale projects with tight deadlines.

Since July 1996, Agence de traduction Passeport is mandated with the translation from English to French of all training manuals used for a new program offered to Canadian Steel Industry workers.

This project, headed by Adult Education Department of the Cegep Sorel-Tracy, unites six Canadian provinces. All manuals written in English are translated and standardised by us to reflect the specific needs of training in Quebec.

These manuals cover steel-making processes but also more general subjects such as mathematics, learning and teaching techniques, communication, ISO, and WHMIS.

Thanks to this project (counting 25 manuals or 500 000 words) still in progress, Agence de traduction Passeport has developed a strong expertise in industrial training.

Together with Contact International (now McNeil Language) of Maryland, Agence de traduction Passeport have worked on a translation project from English to French on an On-line Manual and marketing documents for a Financial Company.

This on-going project consists in translating, editing and proof-reading all documentation for a financial company including an On-line manual describing all politics and procedures to help French Canadian branch employees serve the clientele. We are also responsible for the translation of marketing material as well as branch managers training program.

The whole project totalling so far over 1 000 000 words proves the ability of Agence de traduction Passeport to efficiently translate HTML files (Web pages) without requiring any reformatting of the final French version. All documents in HTML, Power Point as well as Word format are executed through Trados Workbench and the translation memory counts over 35 000 translated segments.
